Live Music in Mersin

Gypsy music runs deep in Mersin, sustained by a dense Romani population that has preserved and developed the tradition to the point where it remains a defining thread in the city's sonic identity. That foundation sits alongside traditional Turkish folk music and a live scene spread across dozens of active venues, from the large-scale seaside concerts at Soli Arena Mersin in the Mezitli district to the more intimate rhythms of Corner Gastro Pub and Social Hall Mersin. For classical and jazz programming, the Mersin International Music Festival, running since 2002 and a European Festivals Association member since 2007, draws international artists to stages including Mersin Cultural Center and the Mersin University Amphitheater.
