About GigWhere

What we do

GigWhere is a worldwide live music discovery platform that makes it easy to find upcoming concerts in your city — without scalpers, without hidden fees, and without needing to check six different ticketing sites. We aggregate official listings from Ticketmaster, Eventim, Nortic, Billetto, Tickster, and hundreds of independent venue websites, updated every hour by automated scrapers.

Every ticket link on GigWhere goes directly to the official seller. We never link to secondary markets or resellers. That's the only rule we enforce without exception.

How it works

Our scrapers run every hour, pulling new events from six major ticketing platforms and over 300 venue websites across more than 50 countries. Events are automatically classified — we use AI to filter out non-music events (sports, comedy, theatre) and keep only live music concerts, gigs, and DJ sets. Duplicate listings from multiple sources are merged into a single canonical entry.

We also run an automated venue discovery pipeline that finds and adds new venues worldwide, even those not listed on major ticketing platforms. This is what lets us cover intimate 50-person clubs in Gothenburg alongside 20,000-capacity arenas in London.

Coverage

GigWhere currently covers 300+ cities across more than 50 countries on all continents. Nordic cities — Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Reykjavik — have the deepest coverage, with near-complete venue listings. Coverage in the UK, Germany, Netherlands, and the US is growing rapidly. We add new cities and venues continuously as our autodiscovery pipeline expands.

Newsletter

Every Monday morning we send a plain-text digest of upcoming gigs in the cities you care about. You pick the cities when you subscribe — and you can add or remove them any time. There's no tracking pixel in the email, no click tracking, and no third-party service that sees your reading habits. We use Resend to deliver mail; your email address is never sold, shared, or used for anything other than sending you that weekly digest.

You can also subscribe to specific venues, so you'll hear about new shows at your favourite club the moment they go on sale. Unsubscribing is one click — no login, no dark patterns.

Privacy

GigWhere has no ads, no analytics SDK, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts that phone home. We don't use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tool. The only external requests your browser makes are to our own API and to the official ticketing platforms when you click a ticket link.

The "Near Me" feature uses the browser's Geolocation API to find your nearest city. That coordinate is processed entirely in your browser and is never sent to our servers. If you decline the geolocation prompt, we don't ask again on reload.

We're GDPR compliant. Newsletter subscribers can export their data or request deletion at any time via the unsubscribe page. We store only what's strictly necessary — email address, chosen cities or venues, and the timestamp of your consent. No behavioural data, no device fingerprints, no purchase history.

Public API

The same data that powers GigWhere is available as a free read API. No registration required, no API key needed for read access. Useful for developers building local listings apps, journalists researching touring patterns, or anyone who wants machine-readable concert data.

  • /api/v1/gigs — paginated gig listings, filterable by city, country, artist, and genre
  • /api/v1/cities — supported cities with coordinates and intro text
  • /api/v1/venues — venue index with address, capacity, and upcoming gig counts
  • /api/v1/gigs/download — full dataset as a single JSON file

Rate limits apply (60 requests per minute for listings, 10 per minute for the bulk download). If you're building something interesting on top of GigWhere, send us a note — we'd genuinely like to know.

Who we are

GigWhere is an independent project based in Sweden. We built it because we kept missing gigs that weren't on the big platforms — or finding them only after they sold out. The goal is simple: one place to see everything that's on, from the biggest stadium shows to the smallest venue residencies.
