Ruhrpott AG (RAG) was a German hip hop group formed in 1996 in Bochum, Germany. The group gained recognition in the German hip hop scene with the release of the album "Unter Tage" in 1998. Their second and final album, "Pottential", was released in 2001. RAG's music combined introspective and poetic lyrics with restrained, often heavy and melancholic production. The name "Ruhrpott" refers to a colloquial term for the Ruhr industrial region in northwestern Germany.
