Jazz Republic
Jazz Republic is Prague's only music club offering free entry to all visitors. This venue, located in a historic Romanesque cellar in the heart of the Old Town, has been hosting live music continuously since 1997. Its unique concert dramaturgy centers on ad-hoc music formations of approximately 30 top Czech jazz musicians acting as resident artists, creating unique and improvisational performances. While primarily focused on jazz, the club programs a diverse range of genres including funk, blues, world music, acid jazz, R&B, and Latin music, featuring both Czech and international artists. The interior, with vaulted ceilings and cozy ambiance, is decorated with signed posters and photographs from past concerts, contributing to its distinctive atmosphere. The venue aims to support people in discovering jazz music.
