Live Music in Grenoble

Tucked into the French Alps, Grenoble punches well above its size as a live music city, anchored by venues like La Belle Électrique and the legendary Summum, which has run diverse programming for over 35 years. The city's reggae credentials are genuine: Sinsémilia, one of France's biggest reggae bands, came up here, and the jazz scene runs equally deep through the Jazz Club de Grenoble, active for over 60 years with weekly concerts at Salle Stendhal. On the festival front, the annual Les Détours de Babel draws together jazz, world music, and contemporary creation each spring, tracing its roots back to 1989.
