Live Music in Kinross

For over a decade, Kinross served as the home of the Kinross Traditional Music Festival, an early showcase organised by the Traditional Music and Song Association of Scotland that brought some of the most influential performers in traditional Scottish music to the town from 1971 onward. That connection to folk runs deep, reinforced more recently by the presence of the Glenfarg Folk Club, which relocated to Kinross in 2015. Today, Backstage at The Green Hotel, run by Mundell Music, anchors the live scene with intimate gigs spanning rock and blues, an active concert schedule, and a collection of music memorabilia on the walls. Local talent continues to develop through Loch Leven Records, a label launched in 2018 by students at Kinross High School, giving emerging artists real recording and performance infrastructure within the town itself.
