Kataklysm

Kataklysm is a Canadian death metal band formed in Montreal, Quebec in September 1991. As of 2024, they have released fifteen studio albums, two EPs, and two DVDs. The band received a Juno Award for Best Heavy Metal Album for "Of Ghosts and Gods" (2015). Kataklysm initially became known for a fast and highly technical style of death metal that was described as the “Northern Hyperblast”. After releasing their debut demo "The Death Gate Cycle of Reincarnation" in 1992, the band gained attention in the underground metal scene.
