Vicar Street
Vicar Street, located at 58 Thomas Street in Dublin, Ireland, opened in 1998 and is a highly regarded live music and events venue. It boasts a flexible capacity, accommodating up to 1,050 for seated shows and 1,500 for standing events. The venue hosts a variety of performances, including concerts, comedy, and drama, and is the annual home of the Choice Music Prize. Known for its intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics, Vicar Street fosters a close connection between artists and audiences. Architecturally, it features a double-height bar and a distinctive four-story glazed projection. The exterior art installation "Kings of the Boundaries" by Patrick O'Reilly adds to its unique character. Inside, the quirky bar area includes notable displays like a Harley Davidson once gifted to Gay Byrne by U2.
