TivoliVredenburg
TivoliVredenburg, a prominent live music venue and cultural center in Utrecht, Netherlands, is architecturally distinctive, often described as an "Escher-esque" or "vertical city" building. It features six concert halls, each designed by a different architect, connected by plazas and staircases, creating a "city within a city" experience. This non-profit organization programs all genres, styles, and cultures, accommodating symphonic, chamber music, pop, jazz, and dance, along with events like conferences and stand-up comedy. Originally formed from the merger of Muziekcentrum Vredenburg (opened 1979) and the pop venue Tivoli, its roots trace back to 1823. TivoliVredenburg officially opened on June 21, 2014, and welcomes over a million visitors annually for more than 1,000 concerts and events.
