Plan B
Plan B is a live music venue in Malmö, Sweden, founded in 2015 as a non-profit cultural association. It originally operated as a membership club in a basement before being shut down in 2018 due to illegal alcohol sales and safety issues. After renovations and securing a legitimate alcohol license with help from Stockholm’s Slaktkyrkan, it reopened in April 2019 at its current address in the Norra Grängesbergsgatan industrial district. The venue occupies a former industrial building, giving it a simple, functional interior that keeps focus on the stage. Its main Warehouse stage holds 900 concertgoers, with two smaller stages for 120 and 360 attendees. Plan B is known for programming rock, punk, and alternative acts, often running multiple rooms with different genres simultaneously. It also hosts festivals like Kif Kif Festival and actively supports local bands and activists. The surrounding area has been designated Sweden’s first Cultural Sound Zone, allowing louder cultural activities. Plan B is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2025.
