KOKO
KOKO, a Grade II listed Victorian theatre in London, boasts a majestic domed ceiling and a 50-foot-tall fly tower, elements carefully restored after a 2020 fire. Originally opening as The Camden Theatre in 1900, it has operated under various names, including Camden Palace, before being renamed KOKO in 2004. Following a £70 million restoration completed in 2022, the venue expanded to 50,000 square feet, integrating new spaces like a roof terrace, recording studio, and jazz bar. Known for diverse programming, KOKO hosts live music across genres like rock, pop, indie, hip hop, electronic, and disco, alongside club nights and cultural events such as talks, comedy, and film screenings. It has historically been associated with movements like punk and acid house.
