Cyprus Avenue
Cyprus Avenue, established in September 2003 above The Old Oak bar in Cork, Ireland, is a cornerstone of the city's live music landscape. Its main room was expanded to hold 500 people in 2018. In 2019, a second, more intimate space called Winthrop Avenue opened with an 80-person capacity, catering to emerging artists. A rooftop bar, Wavelength, was added in 2023, offering space for 130 guests. The venue presents live music seven nights a week, alongside comedy, club nights, and cultural events, covering genres such as rock, pop, and folk. Shows are generally standing, though comedy is seated. All attendees must be 18 or over, unless otherwise specified. Cyprus Avenue is recognized for its professional sound system and intimate yet energetic atmosphere. It is wheelchair accessible, featuring a lift and accessible toilet.
