Batschkapp
Batschkapp, relocated in December 2013 to a converted industrial hall in Frankfurt's Seckbach quarter, retains an industrial vibe with sheet metal exterior walls for noise absorption and a thickly insulated interior. This repurposed plastics factory now accommodates approximately 1,500 standing spectators in its main hall, which features four bars, floor space, an upstairs gallery, and specialized sound absorption panels. Originally founded on December 11, 1976, in Eschersheim as an alternative left-wing cultural center, the venue, known affectionately as 'die Kapp', holds legendary status in Frankfurt. It programs a diverse range of genres, including rock, pop, and metal, and hosts various events beyond concerts, such as comedy nights and theatrical productions. Batschkapp was recognized with the Live Entertainment Award for Best Club in 2012.
