3Olympia Theatre
The 3Olympia Theatre, established in 1879 as Dan Lowrey's Star of Erin Music Hall, stands as one of Dublin's oldest continuously operating entertainment venues. A significant Victorian-era building, it features a Rococo-revival interior with ornate plasterwork, gilt details, carved wooden balconies, and a prominent proscenium arch stage. This historic venue, located at 72 Dame Street, has undergone several name changes and renovations, including a substantial refurbishment between 2015 and 2016. Culturally distinct with its iconic red exterior, it has witnessed Ireland's first public film screening and survived a major structural collapse in 1974. The theatre is celebrated for its atmospheric room and excellent acoustics, hosting a diverse array of performances including theatre, musical concerts, and comedy shows.
