Today, The Flowerpot anchors the live circuit with its nationally recognised reputation for rock, indie, folk, and blues, while The Hairy Dog has served as Derby's premier alternative venue since 2012. Independent labels including Reckless Yes Records continue to develop local talent, sustaining a scene that has consistently produced original artists across genres from progressive metal to traditional folk.
