Francisco Tenório Cerqueira Júnior, a.k.a. Tenorio Jr. (1943 - 1976), was a Brazilian pianist and arranger. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he became one of the most important Bossa nova musicians, and his piano can be heard in albums like Edson Machado’s “É Samba Novo” and Wanda Sá’s “Vagamente”. At the age of 21, he recorded his first and only album, the instrumental “Embalo”, in 1964. In this album, Tenorio Jr. was accompanied by Sérgio Barroso (bass)
