Singer, Songwriter. Born in Anderson, Indiana, she began singing in a trio at Lake Manitou in Indiana until she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to sing band and dance music. Wright was featured as a vocalist with the Barney Rapp Orchestra and with his band, Barney Rapp and His New Englanders in the 1930's. She also sang on the radio on WLW, and for twenty years, appeared on the Ruth Lyons show, "50-50 Club." Wright recorded several tracks for King Records in the late 1940's and 1950's.
