Recorded with the Pete Rodriguez orchestra, this was a flop at the time but sounds pretty good 25 years later: the band is hot ("Descarga Caliente") and the tunes - all by Blades - are adventurous and exciting ("Amanecer") as often as they're clichéd and silly ("When," a ballad with English lyrics). I read somewhere that this record didn't sell because NY audiences weren't yet interested in hearing about Central America ("Juan González," title cut).
