Polari

The term polari describes a secret code used by queer people in 19th century UK to identify and communicate with each other. As polari, seattle-based songwriter sal g (@sjpolari) grapples the realities of modern queer life that can sometimes feel more complex than that queer-coded language. Sal grew up on Long Island, NY where he played in bands across the local emo, indie rock, and post-hardcore scenes before relocating to Brooklyn. It was there he began living his authentic queer life and tying it into his music.
