Mrtvi Kanal was a New wave music band from Rijeka, former Yugoslavia formed in January 1979. They started as a classic punk band but soon they developed a unique new wave/synth sound with provocative and socially conscious lyrics. They recorded live radio broadcast in 1979. and also released a split tape with Grč in June 1983. They disbanded at the very end of 1983. They reunited at the end of 2008. and occasionally still perform nowadays.
