Madelia

Since 2001 San Francisco, CA, USA's madelia have evolved from their dreamy origins into an amalgam of angular dance rhythms, shoegaze and post-whatever. The bay area sextet is a band that that puts the mood back into music with aching vocals, sinewy guitars and a penchant for tunes that brood and lament. They have been likened to and clearly draw influence from Echo and The Bunnymen, The Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees. December 2007 update: Madelia currently have four members, after line-up changes.
