Lucas Lodewyk Maree (22 July 1952 – 18 February 2011) was a well-known Afrikaans singer and songwriter. He was best known for his hit I could do with a million . For example , M-Net used the song for their TV series "Doen met 'n Miljoen". For most of his career, Maree played English music in bars and restaurants in and around Pretoria and Johannesburg, among others at "After dark" and "Fonteine pub and grill".
