Jamilia Jazylbekova

Jamilia Jazylbekova (b. 22 March 1971, Kaskelen) is a Kazakh composer, now resident in Germany, of mostly chamber works that have been performed in Asia, Europe and North America. Ms. Jazylbekova studied piano and transverse flute at the P. I. Tchaikovsky College of Music in Almaty from 1980–89. She studied composition with Nikolai Sidelnikov and Vladimir Tarnopolski at the P. I. Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow from 1990–95 and analysis with Günter Steinke
