A Lancaster, United Kingdom-based duo formed in 1970, Ron Flanagan and former Wayfarers member Brian Dewhurst played the north-western England folk club circuit. In late 1971 they recorded a self-titled début album that featured many of the leading songs of the folk revival of the time. After the appearance of a second album, Dewhurst turned professional as a solo act, although he subsequently adopted the name Brian Preston (after his home town) to avoid confusion with another entertainer of the same name.
