Glass Cage (Italy) was born as a Sonata Arctica cover band. After a complete renovation of the line-up between 2009 and 2011, when the band shifted from male to female-lead melodic power metal with Irene Petitto on vocals, founding member Giovanni Paolo Galeotti put the band on hold in 2012.
