Giulio de Ruvo (17th-18th century) was an Italian cellist and composer. Giulio de Ruvo may have come from Apulia , as his family name could indicate, Ruvo di Puglia is the name of a place near Bari . His works for cello , written around 1700, belong to the early solo literature for the instrument. He was most likely active in Naples , as he dedicated several of his compositions to the Apulian nobleman, the Duke of Bovino, who resided in Naples.
