Emetrex

Emetrex formed in Boston, United States, in January 2000 with Dave McGlynn, Rick Lescault, and Ben Hedlund playing around with various samples, drum loops, and guitar chords. Eventually accompanied by Mike Paulo, the quartet laid down a number of tracks of simple pop that was layered with noisy, psychedelic undertones comparable to Mercury Rev, Grandaddy, and Lescault's other band Wheat.
