Daniel Freedman was born October 20, 1950 in New London Connecticut. He grew up on Pequot Avenue a few houses down from the Eugene O'Neil "Monte Cristo Cottage". He graduated Stamford High School where he played with a Rock band the "Shy Guys". At Boston University he studied Communications and Film. Dan moved to Los Angeles where he wrote a film script "Liliuokalani" about Hawaii's last monarch. This was considered for production by Harpo productions but never given the green light.
