Somewhere between Goth and strident Goth Metalling there are bands like this whose songwriting strengths are determined by particularly robust displays that mean every department throbs. Each song rises, like a Thunderbird, then really beats up everything in its path. There are tough drums, constantly active, there is a monstrous bass, which is always welcome. There is synth alchemy like glistening gas and guitar wielded like a whip, behind vocals which grasp the listener and throttle them.
