Ilka Bessin (born 18 November 1971) is a German comedian and actress, best known for her role as Cindy aus Marzahn (German for "Cindy from Marzahn"). Cindy aus Marzahn is the popular, fictional persona of German comedian Ilka Bessin, a working-class housewife from Berlin known for her pink velour tracksuit and sharp, relatable humor about everyday German life, achieving massive success in German-speaking countries before Bessin retired the character in 2016 to perform under her own name, though she occasionally revives Cindy for specials.
