Brigitte Heitzer is a Dutch musical star, actress and singer. She gained national fame during the Dutch television program 'Op zoek naar Evita' (Looking for 'Evita'), a program which was based on the BBC format for finding the singer to star in 'The Sound of Music' musical. It was the first time ever the main part for a musical had been cast through a public selection. From the ten finalists (all female) she finally managed to defeat Suzan Seegers in the final on October 22nd, 2007.
