Alfonso Fuentes

Alfonso Luis Fuentes Colón is a Puerto Rican composer, pianist, poet and educator. He writes music for solo, chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras. His recitals as pianist of improvisation expose a variety of 'classical' music styles; third stream, where he incorporates classical, jazz and tropical music; and folklore mainly from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. He serves as an Associated professor of Orchestration and Composition in the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music.
