Addis Acoustic Project

The "Addis Acoustic Project" brings forth Ethiopian music from the 1950s & 1960s acoustically and in a contemporary way, with influences of traditional East-African, Jazz, and Latin musical styles. Directed by guitarist/arranger Gimur Mezmur, the Addis Acoustic Project transports Ethiopia's instrumental popular hits of the 1950s & 1960s into the 21st century. Inspired by East-African, Jazz and Latin musical styles, AAP creates an intoxicating blend of sounds that "Mondomix.com" called "a gentle groove with carefully rounded edge".
