O2 Forum Kentish Town
The O2 Forum Kentish Town is a Grade II listed live music venue in London with a capacity of 2,300, originally constructed in 1934 as an Art Deco cinema designed by architect J. Stanley Beard with interiors by William Robin Bennett. Its exterior follows Egyptian Revival styling, while the interior draws on Italian Renaissance-inspired Art Deco, featuring ornate plasterwork with geometric and floral motifs, Roman-style ventilation grilles, a grand proscenium arch, and a central dome with coffered decoration. The building is recognised as one of the UK's best-preserved original cinematic theatres. The venue operated as an ABC cinema and later a bingo hall before converting to live music use in the mid-1980s under the name Town and Country Club, becoming the O2 Forum Kentish Town in 2015. Its flexible layout accommodates roughly 1,400 standing positions on the ground floor and up to 900 on the upper balcony, allowing all-standing, fully seated, or mixed configurations. Programming spans rock, indie, hip hop, and electronic music.
