Live Music in Holon

Psychedelic rock band Rockfour formed here in 1988, and countertenor David D'Or grew up in these streets before earning international acclaim, giving Holon a genuine claim on Israeli musical identity. That lineage continues in the live scene today, anchored by the Holon Theater, which has staged concerts, jazz performances, and sing-alongs for decades and each Passover hosts the Days of Song Festival, a tradition running since 1995 that draws leading Israeli musicians to celebrate Hebrew song. The Steinberg Music Center, administered by the Holon Theater, develops the next generation through chamber ensembles, a municipal choir, a wind orchestra, and jazz and rock groups. For late nights, Duoat Lido provides a consistent lineup of DJs and live performances. Compact but purposefully built, Holon's music infrastructure punches well above the scale of a city its size.
