Markus Becker

There are several artists with this name: 1. a German pianist, 2. a German Schlager singer. --- 1) While studying with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling in Hanover, Becker drew formative inspiration from a collaboration with Alfred Brendel. National and international awards soon followed, including a first prize at Hamburg’s International Brahms Competition in 1987. He is a frequent guest artist at Germany’s leading music festivals and performs with orchestras of the stature of the Berlin Philharmonic
