Broken By The Scream is a Japanese kawaii metal/idol metal group that integrates metalcore, djent, and deathcore with idol-style vocals, creating a unique soundscape. Formed in October 2016, the band has become known for its unusual vocal setup: founding member Io delivers low growls, while Yayoi provides high-pitched screams, complemented by Tsubaki and Shizuku's clean vocals. The band officially debuted at Nishikawaguchi Hearts on January 15, 2017, and released their first mini-album, Screaming Rhapsody, later that year through PCI Music.
