Aurelio Della Faya was a sixteenth-century priest, organist, teacher, chapel master, and madrigal composer active at Lanciano in Abruzzo. His life remains only partly documented, but his place in local musical history is clear: by 1561 he was attached to Santa Maria del Ponte as maestro di cappella, with duties that included singing, organ playing, instrumental performance, and teaching. His surviving music belongs to the Venetian madrigal print world.
