Francesco Bianciardi, also known as Bianchardus, Bianciarcus and Blanchardus (Casole d'Elsa, 1570 - Siena, 1607), was an Italian organist and composer. In 1596 he was organist and from 1597 choirmaster of the cathedral of Siena. Member of the Intronati academy of this city with the name of "Accordato" (in 1601 he was elected head), excellent organist, Banchieri also places him among the best composers of his time, together with Viadana and Agazzari. He was among the first to introduce the numbered bass.
