The Voodoo Rooms opened in November 2007 inside a restored Victorian building at 19a West Register Street, originally constructed as a gas showroom before becoming the Cafe Royal Hotel in 1863. Its interior retains elaborate original plasterwork, crystal chandeliers, and a black and gold color scheme. Programming spans live music, comedy, cabaret, theatre, and club nights, with the venue also serving as a popular Fringe hub and private hire space.
