Founded in 1954 by Michael and Sheila van Bloemen, the Troubadour is one of London's oldest independent live music venues, operating from a medieval French-village-style facade on Old Brompton Road in Earl's Court. Its interior is lined with antique instruments, lanterns, and crockery, and the venue includes a secret garden. Historically, it served as an early meeting place for the Ban the Bomb movement and the founding location of Private Eye magazine.
