The Fleece is an independent live music venue operating seven days a week in the Grade II listed Wool Hall on St Thomas Street, a building originally constructed in 1830 as a sheep trading market. Opened as a music venue in 1982, it holds 450 people following renovations that expanded its original 330-person capacity. Programming spans a wide range of genres, from punk, metal, and rock to ska, goth, country, and hip hop.
