Roundhouse

The Roundhouse is a Grade II* listed former railway engine shed built in 1846, converted into a performing arts venue in 1966 with an opening concert featuring pioneering acts from the UK underground scene. Its circular structure, 48 metres in diameter with a conical slate roof and 24 cast-iron Doric columns, gives it distinctive acoustics and a 360-degree performance atmosphere. It reopened in 2006 after a £27 million redevelopment and programs music, theatre, dance, and circus.
