O2 Academy Bristol
O2 Academy Bristol opened in 2001 as the Carling Academy, following the conversion of a former ABC cinema on Frogmore Street, and was rebranded under its current name in 2009. The main room holds 1,600 standing and features a wide, shallow layout with balconies that keeps audiences close to the stage. A significant acoustic upgrade completed in March 2026 installed over 80 custom panels to improve sound clarity across the room.
