McChuills
McChuills is an Irish punk and mod pub on High Street that has operated as a live music venue since the early 1990s, moving to its current location around 1994. Programming spans punk, folk, acoustic, electronic, soul, and acid jazz, alongside comedy nights and open mic sessions. The venue survived potential closure during the COVID-19 pandemic through a crowdfunding campaign that raised over 30,000 pounds.
