Cavern Club
The Cavern Club on Mathew Street is one of the most iconic live music venues in the world, widely regarded as the cradle of British pop music. Originally opened in 1957 as a jazz club, it transitioned into a rock and roll and Merseybeat venue before closing in 1973 and reopening in 1984. Today it programs classic pop, indie, rock, tribute nights, cover bands, and weekly open mic sessions from its cellar location.
