The Barrowland Ballroom is a concert venue in the Calton district of Glasgow, originally opened in 1934 as a dance hall before transitioning into a live music venue from 1983 onwards. It is distinguished by a sprung Canadian maple floor, a barrel-shaped ceiling credited with exceptional acoustics, a hand-decorated starry ceiling preserved from a 1960 reconstruction, and a large animated neon sign completed in 1985, believed to be the biggest of its kind in the UK.
