Atalante

Atalante is an artist-run performance venue at Övre Husargatan 1 in Gothenburg, founded in 1987 by the dance collective Rubicon in a building that previously housed the cinema Skansen. The programming centers on contemporary choreography, experimental music, performance, and sound art, with an artistic council of permanent staff controlling all scheduling. Co-financed by the Swedish Arts Council, Region Västra Götaland, and the City of Gothenburg, it supports both established and emerging choreographers through residencies and shared programs.
