Bazylika św. Józefa
Bazylika św. Józefa, a historic Baroque basilica in Poznan, Poland, doubles as a distinctive live music venue primarily for classical performances. Built by the Discalced Carmelites starting in 1644 and consecrated in 1687, the building has served as a Protestant assembly hall, hospital, and barracks before returning to religious use after World War II. Its architecture features a cross-shaped base, barrel vaults, and a facade divided by pilaster strips and cornices. The venue regularly hosts piano concerts, including candlelit Chopin events, and is considered one of the best classical music spaces in Poznan. A dedicated concert hall exists in the basement. The basilica also houses an organ originally built by Gebrüder Walter in 1862, installed in 1947 and later rebuilt with an electro-pneumatic system. No specific seating or standing capacity is available in the records.
