YES (The Pink Room)
YES (The Pink Room) is a four-floor live music venue in Manchester, opened in 2018 by acclaimed independent promoters Now Wave. The building, originally a 1912 printing press and later an auctioneers’ house, retains original mosaics and Alice in Wonderland-style bathroom tiling. The Pink Room, the main live space, holds 250 people and features distinct pink decor, while a basement venue accommodates 60. A ground-floor bar, rooftop terrace with post-industrial skyline views, and a NASA-grade sound system round out the space. Programming spans house, disco, post-punk, electro, leftfield pop, and more, with DJs in the main bar playing dance, soul, house, and world funk. The Pink Room also hosts film screenings and independent shopping fairs. Known for affordable drinks and a welcoming, low-key atmosphere, YES functions as a social hub and creative space, platforming emerging artists and fostering a homely vibe despite its size.
